I chose to serve so that I can create opportunity for those who may feel that they have none.
The first thing that captured Ben's attention about MSUCAC was the mission. He has long been interested in teaching and mentoring others - there is something incredible about helping someone accomplish something they may have never thought they were capable of doing. When he realized that MSUCAC could help him make positively impacting youth a full time career, he knew it was the right fit. In his second year advising, Ben is most excited to build on his skills from last year to help students develop a plan to succeed in their futures!
Fun fact: Ben has meditated with Buddhist monks in a temple in Japan.
Ben is from Lake Orion, Michigan, and graduated from MSU in 2019.
