I chose to serve because I think it is important that all students have someone at their school who consistently supports them, and I want to be that person.
Hunter knows firsthand how helpful having support in the college-going process can be. His own College Adviser made the application process seem easy, an experience he later found was not universal for his fellow first-generation peers. He aims to assist students in finding the path that fits best for them, regardless of what it may be. The last thing a graduating senior who is unsure about their future needs is added stress that could have been avoided. Hunter's professional goals lie in the education field, so his service with MSUCAC will help him get his foot in the door and obtain relevant experience in the daily environment of a high school. His long term goal is to become an empathetic educator that can make a positive impact in the lives of students.
Hunter is from Fort Myers, Florida, and graduated from MSU in August 2021.
