As a first generation student, navigating the college access journey was not easy for Salma. She was lucky enough to have support from her own own counselor, teachers, College Adviser, professors, and family. Because of them, she was able to successfully graduate from Michigan State University. As a College Adviser, Salma aims to provide the same support she was given and be a role model to students pursuing their post secondary plans. An Everett High School alumna herself, Salma chose to serve to give back to her community and provide a good support system to students so they can reach their highest potential.
Fun fact: Salma's favorite activities are traveling, going to concerts, and walking her dogs!
Salma graduated from MSU in 2020.
