Ionia High School allows students to schedule coursework in a personalized four-year plan to both meet graduation requirements and prepare them for their specific career choices. The school’s facility is a part of the spacious Ionia Education Center (IEC), which integrates the high school with Heartlands Institute of Technology and a branch of Montcalm Community College on a common campus. 

Ionia High School enrolls more than 800 students and has a student-teacher ratio of 20:1. Its mascot is the Bulldog.

As the county seat of Ionia County, Michigan, Ionia is home to about 12,000 residents. The city is known for its historical landmarks and summer activities, including the world’s largest free-admission fair. Sozo Coffee is a favorite for college advisers - it is a local business with a great atmosphere and great coffee (not to mention the best cinnamon rolls ever)!
