Memphis is located on the border of Macomb and St. Clair counties, midway between Metro Detroit and the thumb of Michigan. The city is home to more than 1,100 residents and is known for its rich history and local small businesses, including Donut Girls and Mom's Country Kitchen, which serves delicious sweet potato biscuits. An interesting community event from the past year was "Donkey Basketball," where they brought actual donkeys into the school gymnasium for people to play basketball with - it was a huge turnout and everyone (including the donkeys) had a great time!
