Detroit Leadership Academy (DLA) is a free public charter school that serves students from Pre-K through 12th grade, at two campuses. Its students represent families from across the city with a large population drawing from the Castle Rouge, Brightmoor, and Cody Rouge communities.
The Academy is committed to providing an educational program focused on preparing students for success at the next educational level and to be accepted to and graduate from college. To that end, Detroit Leadership Academy provides trauma informed education, timely and targeted intervention, and has a culture of achievement centered on high expectations and high support.
The school is located in Detroit, Michigan and its mascot is the Cougars.
Detroit offers residents countless arts, cultural, and educational activities, with regular festivals, events, and shows occurring downtown. Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit is an adviser favorite, with lots of great things to do and see.
