Margy Hunter

Residential College of Arts and Humanities (RCAH), French

Community Served
"I remember all too well the feeling of uncertainty I had as a senior in high school, trying to figure out what I wanted to do next. I want to show them that it is actually an exciting time in their lives and that they have so many opportunities before them."

Margy chose to serve as a College Adviser to help make college accessible to students of all backgrounds. In Margy's words, access to education is a fundamental right, and everyone merits from equal access to education. For many students, the complex admissions process may deter them from applying. Margy hopes to use her background in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) to break down the admissions process in a clear and comprehensible way for students to know exactly what they need to do throughout the course of the year. Her favorite aspect of advising is connecting with her students and watching them transition to the next stage of their lives.

Fun fact: Margy plays the piano and saxophone!

Margy is from Saline, MI and graduated in May 2022.
